ArcBest improves asset-based results while freight demand stays muted
ArcBest's asset-based segment generated $783.7 million of second-quarter revenue, up 9.9% year over year. Operating income increased to $74.3 million from $51 million, while the operating ratio improved to 90.5% from 92.8%.
